Joshua Hoyt is a Principal and co-founder of Clearspring Energy Advisors, LLC. Prior to founding Clearspring Energy Advisors, Mr. Hoyt founded Campbell-West & Associates, a market research consulting firm. He has also held positions of increasing responsibility at Alliant Energy, WPS Health Insurance and Power System Engineering in Madison, Wisconsin. He is an experienced market research and strategic planning professional who has been providing service to customers for nearly twenty-five years.

Mr. Hoyt has a strong background in electric load forecasting and market research. He has developed load forecasts and prepared market research studies for energy companies nationwide, with a focus on electric cooperative systems. His market research experience includes administering customer satisfaction, appliance portfolio and awareness surveys, including periodic reporting and presentations, recommendations and technical methodology. He has also conducted executive-style face-to-face surveys to collect qualitative strategic information.

In addition, Mr. Hoyt has developed energy efficiency programs for utilities to offer to their customers and provided the necessary measurement and verification (M&V) services to estimate energy and demand savings. In his capacity as an economist, he has developed econometric and share-trending models to forecast sales and customer data by market segment, prepared extensive economic and demographic databases and reported results in technical and non-technical formats.
